We chose FDP because I knew my daughter would be taught the proper techniques of ballet, jazz, and hip hop. I felt that was more important than just being on a stage in a glittery costume doing the same dance step over and over. She has learned so much in the past year she has been with the company and continues to be inspired by the work of Melissa. – The Rigsby Family

As parents, my husband and I were first impressed with the studio personally. FDP is loving, professional, and technically astonishing. When our dancers do the moves correctly and have been working on them you congratulate our children. Going to each lesson is always a joy because the combinations are different and exciting. Thank you Fusion Dance Project! – The Von Wedel Family

“My daughter absolutely loves everything about this studio! Her teachers are amazing, the owner is organized and runs it like a business, and it’s a fun environment for all. So happy I made the choice to drive a little further for a great studio.”  – The Gee Family

“I love the little things they do for each of these amazing little dancers…I love the humble sprit and love of dance. They have inspired in my kiddo above and beyond. I love that they encourage them to dream, and dream BIG…I highly recommend and appreciate this studio that we humbly call home away from home.”  – The Large Family

“Absolutely amazing place, the owner and staff are so friendly. The girls are great & my daughter has never been happier. The parents and kids are such a wonderful group …. we wouldn’t go anywhere else.” – The Allen Family

“My daughter is in Ms. Sheena’s ballet, jazz, and tap class. She absolutely adores her! I especially like how she uses language the kids know to teach the basics of technique. Emerson looks forward to coming to class every week, as I do as well. I have enjoyed our time with Fusion, especially since the parents are able to watch class on the monitors and reiterate things at home. Thank you for all FDP does!” – The Broyles Family

The instructors and curriculum place a very high value on versatility and artistry, which is refreshing and admirable. They provide a true education…not just lessons. Their works of art have brought me to actual tears. They also foster an amazing sense of family between their dancers, and it is widely evident even as an outside observer – everyone involved is always cheering for and supporting one another. The leadership, innovation, and excellence are unparalleled.. The entire staff, and alumni are all well-regarded by fellow teachers, dance students, parents and choreographers are well regarded in the industry and I can’t imagine a better place to send young dancers.  – The Crook Family

Knoxville’s own, Ken Easterly, will be setting FDP’s hip hop routine! We are SO EXCITED!

Ken Easterly is a fun, spark of energy born and raised in Knoxville, TN. His passion for dance began at the age of eleven, when his middle school dance teacher saw that spark in him and placed him center stage. Touring across the southeast region as the sole hip hop act with his middle school Vine Middle Magnet Performing Arts and Science School Dance Company, he solidified his passion for dance.  When Ken got to high school, he expanded his training in other styles of dance including tap, jazz, modern, and ballet.  After graduating high school, Ken went to Alabama State University as a Theater major.  Continuing his training, he began to perform and tour with Eclectic Dance Company.  Ken then moved to Orlando, FL and began teaching dance at Edge Dance Studios in Lake Mary, FL and performing with a contemporary dance company called Capricorn Dance Co.  He began dancing with Tio-Wu Crew/Studio One Crew, and as a background dancer for artist Group One Crew.  Since then, he has returned to Knoxville and continued his work and passion for dance, founding his own hip hop dance program called “On the One”.  On the One is geared to promote education, healthy lifestyles, and originality through dance.  By training children, teens, and adults with a high-energy teaching style, students learn various core styles of hip hop dance. His program is offered at Street Beats Studio, Eclectic Vibe Centre, and Boys & Girls Clubs of the TN Valley.  Ken also started a hip hop dance crew based out of Knoxville with some close friends named Southern Sole. The crew is geared to unify dancers in the community to train and compete nationally.  Ken has a knowledge and love for dance that shows every time the curtain goes up or class begins.
